Wellington Harbour and other surrounding beaches like Oriental bay, face significant pollution from waste, litter, and run-off. Wildlife including fish, and birds are prone to getting sick from eating these plastics resulting in deaths and and risk of getting tangled in plastic. Recognizing this huge risk to Wellington's biodiversity, our New Zealand chapter teamed up with local organizations and recruited volunteers to clean the beach and collect over 5 gallons of trash!

Preserving the beauty of Athens' mountains was an issue our Greece Chapter identified and aimed to solve for MGG Day. As part of the nature walk, trash was collected and the leadership team organized a talk about several environmental topics, such as noise pollution and identifying native flowers and herbs.

Our chapter in Shanghai organized a step challenge, where every step meant a donation towards an environmental organization! Along with environmental awareness, our chapter promoted mindfulness and a healthy lifestyle for all participants.

Recognizing that the correct disposal of trash was a problem in their community, our Massachusetts chapter created posters to hang at trash bins in their locality, teaching passersby to make sure their trash lands at the right place.

As a celebration of the Hindu holiday, Holi, MGG-Texas led a cleanup at a local park while celebrating their culture. Plastic bottles, soda cans, and food wrappers were cleaned.

To raise awareness for plastic pollution, our São Paulo chapter transformed plastic bottles collected from their park-cleanup into beautiful flowers to decorate homes and sell for awareness!

For MGG Day, our chapter in Pakistan organized a park cleanup event. New recycling bin kits were installed and proper waste disposal was encouraged. A coordinated media campaign was also launched to inspire more community members to join.

Our Pennsylvania chapter noticed a pressing problem in their community: pollution and littering everywhere in their neighborhood spaces. Through their clean-up, they not only helped clear the trash and debris, but also beautify the community park for all to visit.

As their first event with MGG, our Singapore chapter led a successful book drive, donating books that would otherwise end up unused or in the landfill!

In order to address their community problem of decreasing pollination, New Jersey led a statewide campaign to create pollinator gardens in schools and communities.

For their MGG Day Event, Manila, Philippines designed and hand-crafted bracelets from sustainably-sourced beads, which they then sold to raise awareness for the planet!

They also led a debate where students discussed environmental topics!

With over 50 volunteers, the Portugal chapter led a restoration project in their community, eliminating non-native species and protecting and planting trees.

For MGG Day, Jakarta organized a workshop in a local orphanage to raise awareness for the planet, creating a space where children in need could learn about the environment and discover their power to make a difference, proving that climate action belongs to everyone.

This event featured vision boards for climate action, engaging the community in environmental issues, and sharing recycled-egg carton made ornaments.

Through activities like tote bag painting and ocean snacks, we raised awareness and demonstrate solutions to increasing amounts of plastic in the ocean. We hosted community members, school-children, and the local law enforcement!

MGG led their Pawsitivity for Pets event, where they collaborated with a local animal shelter to raise awareness for the latter's service and dedication to a more humane society.

For their MGG Day Event, the Cairo chapter aimed to address their local environmental problem of pollution in the Nile River. By repurposing old paper and carton, they transformed trash that would otherwise end up in the Nile into beautiful artwork.

By organizing scavenger hunts, brainstorming environmental challenges, playing trivia, and making recycled art, MGG inspired young students into activists.

60 volunteers were recruited by the Bujanoc Team to restore the community lake by collecting litter, setting up trash bins, putting up posters to educate the community on the ecosystem's importance, and painted murals to inspire continued care and collaborative efforts.
